The campers started converging in front of University of Sto. Tomas in Espanya, Manila at around one in the afternoon. A short program was held as they waited for other groups. They started to march towards Mendiola at around three.
As the people marched towards the Mendiola bridge, they were barred by police forces at four in the afternoon. Protesters were forced to stop and hold a program at the Recto-Morayta intersection before proceeding to the Plaza Miranda at eight in the evening. There, the campers set up their gear as they prepared to stay for the night. They were then offered sanctuary by the administration of Quiapo church when the rains refused to cease. This however did not dampen their revolutionary fervor, as everyone tried to get some rest for the next day ahead.
